What we look for
Primary Mathematics Teachers
─ Strong knowledge of primary mathematics, ideally across Years 1–6
─ Ability to explain concepts clearly using age-appropriate language and examples
─ A patient, encouraging, and engaging approach with younger learners
─ Punctual, reliable, organised, and responsive in communication with the Pathway team
─ A genuine commitment to student progress and continuous improvement
─ The legal right to work in New Zealand
Secondary Mathematics Teachers
─ Strong mathematical knowledge appropriate for Years 7–13
─ Ability to explain abstract and multi-step concepts clearly and accurately
─ Confidence supporting students across different levels of understanding
─ Punctual, reliable, organised, and responsive in communication with the Pathway team
─ A genuine commitment to student progress and continuous improvement
─ The legal right to work in New Zealand
We go beyond traditional tutoring. We look for professional educators who value academic rigour, patient guidance, and meaningful student progress.
Primary Teaching Role
Regular Class Teacher
Teach weekly structured classes aligned with our five-week module system. Pathway provides lesson notes and homework packs, while teachers deliver clear instruction, lead guided practice, and monitor each student’s progress.
As-Needed
Relief Teacher
Cover scheduled classes when the regular teacher is unavailable. Lesson plans and materials are provided, so you can focus on clear instruction, guided practice, and maintaining a consistent classroom experience.
Seasonal
Holiday Programme Tutor
Deliver structured, multi-day mathematics programmes during the school holidays, focusing on clearly defined topics and learning goals. Lesson materials are provided, making this role ideal for teachers with flexible availability during school breaks.
Limited Availability
One-to-One Specialist
Provide personalised mathematics tuition for students with individual learning goals. This role requires excellent mathematical knowledge, strong teaching skills, and the ability to tailor instruction to each student's needs.
